With so many corporate organizations across the Garden State, we here at Team Building Unlimited know just how important it is to offer a great selection of amazing team building events and activities in NJ. That’s why we’ve put together this guide on team building in NJ, complete with a list of some of our most popular cities served!

Types of NJ Team Building Events

New Jersey truly has it all.. there are the beautiful Jersey Shore beaches, bustling cities such as Jersey City, close proximity to the legendary New York City and Philadelphia, acres of gorgeous farmland, mountains that make for awesome skiing, forests and lakes meant for exploring, amazing restaurants and shopping, and more! Not to mention, NJ also sees all four seasons. In the summer, it’s nice and hot with shining sun and in the winter, the streets become a winter wonderland.

This makes New Jersey an extremely interesting and versatile place to host a team building event. You might be looking to host a fun outdoor event in the milder weather of the spring or summertime, or you might be looking to host a more laid-back indoor event.

Some of the different events you may be considering might include:

  • Physical Events: These can include a wide variety of different fun events such as outdoor scavenger hunts, bike building events, a mechanical bull riding competition, boat races, or “The Amazing Race” style physical competitions.
  • Culinary Events: What’s better than a good old culinary event? Your team members get to bond, learn new techniques, AND enjoy their delicious creations afterwards. Some examples of culinary team building events might include pizza making challenges, chocolate making workshops, and cupcake wars.
  • Arts & Crafts Events: Allow your team the chance to get creative! Arts and crafts make for a great way to allow your team to bond. These events might include a “design and build” your own superhero capes, a t-shirt design contest, or a paint and sip event.
  • Outdoor Events: Get outside with your team and enjoy the fresh air. There are so many great outdoor team building activities in NJ. From hiking and kayaking to GPS treasure hunts and tree top adventures, there’s an event for everyone!
  • Retreats: Retreats are a great way to get your team away from the hustle and bustle of everyday work life and to allow them to reset, recharge, and refocus.

These are just a few examples, but the possibilities are endless! If you can dream it, we can make it happen.

Cake Wars
One of our most popular culinary team building events, Cake Wars allows team members to engage in friendly competition through a cake decorating contest. New Jersey is home to the Cake Boss, after all! Participants will receive decorative ingredients throughout the event to make their cake look the very best. Team Olympics
This is a super fun physical team building competition that’s perfect for the warmer Jersey months. This in-person event can be played with a group between 20 and 200 participants.

Snuggle & Cuddle Friends
This event is an awesome way for organizations to give back to local NJ charities. Participants will have the chance to create cuddly stuffed animals for local children in need. Groups as small as 10 or as large as 1000 can participate in this wonderful way of giving back while bonding with their teammates.

Salsa & Sangria
Another fun culinary team building event, Salsa & Sangria allows participants to create their very own signature salsa and sangria alongside their team members. The judges will decide who makes the winning salsa and sangria! This event is suitable for groups of 10 to 150 participants.

Mixology Glass It Up!
If your team might be particularly interested in boozy events, then Mixology Glass It Up! could be the event for you.
